Prince2® Overview
PRINCE2® is a process-based approach for project management providing an easily tailored and scale-able method for the management of all types of projects. The method is the de-facto standard for project management in the UK and is practiced worldwide.
The continued international development of PRINCE2® examinations, training and course material is contributing significantly to the recognition of PRINCE2® as a truly international standard.
The focus throughout PRINCE2® is on the Business Case, which describes the rationale and business justification for the project. The Business Case drives all the project management processes, from initial project set-up through to successful finish.
Many organisations are employing the skills and services of external suppliers, working alongside in-house resources, to enhance their ability to deliver successful projects. PRINCE2® provides a mechanism to harness these resources and enable the team to integrate and work together effectively on a project.
Following
the course Delegates will understand the PRINCE2® method and will be
able to organise, plan and control projects quickly and effectively in
accordance with the PRINCE2® Methodology. Senior Managers attending the
course will be able to make decisions on project initiation and
continuation on the basis of hard facts provided in a structured format.
